Top 3 Blogs:

While I did not provide feedback for this one, Courtney Flesser’s blog is in my top three for a few different reasons.  - We Both received UK-based construction companies, so it was interesting to see how Courtney wrote about her company - We are both around the same age and have worked in the same job. I have been very intimidated when going through the blogs of other students in the same class as the majority are older and have far more experience than I do, so finding Courtney’s blog and learning we have similar experiences made me feel less alone in this subject - Overall, Courtney’s blog was entertaining, informative, and well set out https://courtneyflesser1.wixsite.com/crflssr/post/what-is-accounting-chapter-1-kcqs Mitchell Lanser’s blog was one I did provide feedback on. I found Mitchell’s KCQs to be very entertaining and well written. It was very interesting to read about the experiences and real life examples that were linked to each KCQ.  https://mitchsuniblog...

Key Concepts and Questions - Chapters 2 & 3

‘Man, if you gotta ask you’ll never know’ -  Initially, reading this quote really struck a nerve. The original statement made was ‘man, if you gotta ask what jazz is you’ll never know’ which makes much more sense, and quite frankly eased my anger over this significantly. After sitting and thinking about the mis-quote, I do understand the meaning behind it. There are certain things that are learned best through experience rather than explanation (what jazz is for example).  I think that the way I reacted to seeing and then to understanding this quote can...

Taylor Wimpey plc was formed in 2007 by George Wimpey and Taylor Woodrow, and is now one of the largest residential developers in the UK. In  2024 , Taylor Wimpey delivered over 10,000 homes to the UK, making them the leading choice for residential development.  After going through their website, it is easy to see how this company received 5-stars via HBF (Home Builders Federation). Taylor Wimpey also has the highest average NHBC (National House Building Council) Construction Quality Review score of any major house builder in the UK, with 62 of their site managers receiving the NHBC Pride in the Job Award.  These awards and ratings are the result of many aspects of what this company does, which I have broken down into three main values: customer trust and satisfaction, supporting local communities and charities, and creating greener homes.  Customer Trust and Satisfaction: 90% of new home buyers were likely to recommend Taylor Wimpey, with many of the reviews highlig...
